Believed to be a lectern but not sure. Unsure of the type wood but it’s hand carved on all three sides. 6’1” tall, approximately 125 lbs, triangular shape, each side is approximately 24” wide, drawers and center pieces slide out, no screws. Book holder on top may not be original but there’s a hole in the top of the piece as if it’s made for it.

Description and history
This is a circa Early 20th Century Antique Solid Wood Lectern Music Stand.
First, I used the metallic parts of this furniture to know its age. Here is a pic of one of the nails:
We can see that the nail is oxidized, but it is a modern type nail. Keep in mind that for older furniture, we should see hand made metallic parts, which is not the case. With this information, I can date the furniture as being made circa early 20th century.
Secondly, regarding the style and origin, I think that the best fit is Flemish Style.The origin of this furniture is Europe, central Europe, probably Belgium or France. In general, I see the carvings are of high quality, specially the lions head are very detailed and similar to other carvings found in Fernch Furniture of that time.
There are two small compartments on the front, that are used to store books or sheet music. I think this is a music stand because the carvings were made all over the contour. For a lectern I would expect carvings on the front of the lectern. That’s why I think this was designed as a music stand. Of course you can use it as a lectern.
I think it is in excellent condition for its age.
In my professional opinion, this antique is a true treasure. It combines modern-age technology with a classic aesthetic, and I’d be very surprised if it didn’t fetch a pretty price on the open market. Whatever your asking price is, I’m sure that there will be someone out there for whom this antique is the perfect purchase. Its value will only increase over time, so the buyer would be investing in more than just a beautiful addition to their home; they’d be adding to their investment portfolio as well.

Antiques, art, and other collectibles are difficult items to sell online. This can take a lot of time. Be patient, but also make sure that the price you are asking for is the right one for your pieces of art. Consider the following tips on how to sell antiques and collectibles online. I would recommend selling it online, there are many ways to do this, for instance: Post an ad on Craigslist. Use eBay to sell antiques online. Post a listing on the Etsy marketplace. The key to selling antiques on-line is to let potential customers know that you know what you are talking about. It’s much more difficult to sell something when the potential buyer can’t be sure it is authentic. Sellers should use a well thought out descriptive guides, like this report. A good lead generation service should be helpful in establishing these relationships with online buyers, and an effective way to do this is through a classified ads. If a buyer asks for more information, giving them some valuable facts well ahead of time will get you more sales because your reputation increases and real customers are the ones who ask for more details.
